इन्डियन प्रिमियर लिग (आईपीएल) को १३ औं संस्करणको फाइनल आज हुँदैछ । सर्वाधिक ४ पटकको च्याम्पियन मुम्बई इन्डियन्स र पहिलो पटक फाइनल पुगेको दिल्ली क्यापिटल्स उपाधिका लागि भिड्ने छन् । खेल नेपाली समयअनुसार आज राति पौने ८ बजे युएईको दुबईमा हुनेछ ।
सविक विजेतासमेत रहेको मुम्बईले फाइनल खेल्न लागेको यो छैटौं पटक हो । यसअघि १२ औं संस्करणसम्म फाइनल पुग्न नसकेको दिल्ली पहिलो पटक फाइनल पुग्दै इतिहास रच्न सफल भएको छ । अब उपाधि जित्दै अर्को इतिहास बनाउन चाहन्छ । तर सर्वाधिक ४ पटकको च्याम्पियन मुम्बईलाई हराउनु दिल्लीका लागि सजिलो भने पक्कै छैन ।
फाइनलअघिको तीन भेटमा मुम्बईले दिल्लीलाई पराजित गरेको थियो । लिग चरणका दुई खेल र पहिलो क्वालिफायरमा मुम्बईले दिल्लीलाई पराजित गरेको हो । पहिलो पटक आईपीएल उपाधि जित्ने हो भने दिल्लीले मुम्बईविरुद्ध तीन हारको बदला लिनुपर्नेछ । दिल्लीका लागि त्यो अवसर पनि छ ।
लिग चरणमा मुम्बई १४ मध्ये ९ खेल जित्दै पहिलो स्थानमा थियो भने ८ खेल जितेको दिल्ली दोस्रो स्थानमा थियो । फाइनल पुग्नका लागि भएको पहिलो क्वालिफायरमा मुम्बईले दिल्लीलाई ५७ रनले पराजित गरेको थियो । लिगमा शीर्ष दुईमा रहेकाले दिल्लीले फाइनल पुग्न अर्को मौका पायो । दोस्रो क्वालिफायरमा दिल्लीले सनराइजर्स हैदरावादलाई १७ रनले पराजित गर्दै फेरि मुमबईसँग भेट पक्का मात्र गरेन पहिलो पटक फाइनल पुग्दै इतिहास समेत कायम गर्यो ।
लिग सुरु हुनुअघि नै मुम्बई र दिल्लीलाई उपाधिको दाबेदार टिमहरुको रुपमा थियो । लिगमा पहिलो र दोस्रो भएको टिम नै फाइनल पुगेपछि फाइनल प्रतिस्पर्धात्मक हुने अपेक्षा छ ।
रोहित शर्माको कप्तानीमा रहेको मुम्बईले फाइनल पुग्दासम्म ब्याटिङ, बलिङ र फिल्डिङमा सन्तुलित प्रदर्शन गर्दै आइरहेको छ । ब्याटिङमा सूर्य कुमार यादव, क्विन्टन डे कक र इशान किसन तथा बलिङमा जसप्रित बुमराह र ट्रेन्ट बोल्टले उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन गरिरहेका छन् । काएनर पोलार्ड र हार्दिक पाण्ड्याको प्रदर्शन मुम्बईको लागि निर्णायक सावित हुन सक्छ ।
